MAIDUGURI, North-East, Nigeria – In an effort to boost internally generated revenue and closed leakages, Borno Governor, Babagana Zulum, has unvailed a new corporate identity for the state Internal Revenue Service Board.
Speaking at the ceremony held on Thursday in Maiduguri, Zulum said, the new corporate identity will promote voluntary compliance to sustain socio-economic development of the state.
He said that with the new leadership in the Board, it is expected that the 2021 revenue generation will be more than N10b generated in 2020.
Zulum added that the new executive chairman of the board recently appointed is aimed at injecting new ideas to boost revenue generation in the state.
In his opening remarks, Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Planning, Hon. Adamu Lawan, said the new corporate identity is a paradigm shift in revenue administration in the State and aligns with robust transformational vision of the Governor.
He added that for the first time in the history of the State, a clear vision and identity will be projected to the general public.
Executive Chairman of the Board, Alhaji Mohammed Alkali, gave the highlights and concept of the new corporate identity of the board.
