KADUNA, North-West, Nigeria – Residents of Laduga and other Kachia Communities have commended Kaduna State Government and Farmtrac Construction Company Limited for the major and link roads projects across Kachia Local Government Area of the State .
According to members of the communities, the road projects have not only opened Laduga village and other areas to business opportunities, it has also helped to ease transportation of farm produce from the villages to the markets.
All the residents interviewed expressed satisfaction over the speed and quality of works done by the contractor, Farmtrac Nigeria limited .
The residents noted that it takes a government with great level of political will and concern for the citizens to award such gigantic construction works at a rural area such as Laduga in Kachia LGA.
The Youth Leader of Miyetti Allah in Kachia LGA and Laduga Village, Mal. Ja’afar Salihu, said “we have lived here for over 30 years without motorable road.
“The Laduga-Railway Crossing road projects is yet to be completed, we have every reason to praise Governor El-Rufai led administration for constructing the road at a time we have lost hope in governance.”
Also speaking, Alhaji Rabo Yusuf, Majidadi Sardauna Laduga, said he observed that Farmtrac has shown the zeal to perform and deliver on time .We see our road as federal road because of the quality of work done especially on the bridge.
Explaining the difficulties encountered in the past, Alhaji Shaibu Usman (Marafan Laduga) said “We used to trekked for days to cross but today it takes us ten to 15 minutes from Laduga to the Railway Crossing. I have never seen a quality work done here by an indigenous contractor in recent times .
“The company can compete favourably with any foreign contractor in the area of standard,” he said.
Similarly, the former vhairman of Kaduna Revenue Board, Ahmad Bako Jibrin (Magajin Gari Laduga), said nowadays one rarely get a reliable contractor that considered standard above personal gains and wealth acquisition.
He however said, because of the road now, businesses in the area are thriving, schools are springing up and everyone is happy for it.
“We praise God and the Governor for the beautiful job. Even before completion our lifestyle has improved and income increasing daily,” he said.
Also, former Majority Leader in State House of Assembly, Hon. David Umar Gurara, in a chat with Journalists shortly after the tour of the projects said, “As a PDP member, I can’t hide my feelings over the quality of the construction works and road projects executed by Governor Nasir El-Rufai through Farmtrac Construction company in Kachia LGA.
Managing Director of Farmtrac Nigeria Ltd. Engineer Sadiq Abukakar, thanked Kaduna State Government for giving his firm the opportunity to prove its worth as an indigenous construction company.
“Our vision is to become one of the most reliable construction firms that can compete favourable with any international contractors in terms of standard and delivery time,” he said.
