MAIDUGURI, North-East, Nigeria – Borno Governor, Babagana Zulum, on Thursday morning visited Auno town where Boko Haram insurgents attacked on Wednesday.
Zulum who arrived Auno at 7:30am sympathised with the victims of the attack, most of whom have lost their livelihoods during the attack.
While addressing residents, Zulum stated that there are plans to expand the town with improved infrastructure.
Auno town, located along Maiduguri-Damaturu highway, had come under attack on Wednesday at about 4:36pm, resulting to destruction of a shopping complex and many other open market stalls.
According to a resident who witnessed the attack, the insurgents came with six hilux vehicles to attack the town.
