ABU Governing Council: ‘I’ll serve the interest of Nigerians’ – Prof Matoh

YOLA, North-East, Nigeria – The former Deputy Speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly, Professor Matoh Dogara Dari, has said his recent appointment into the Governing Council of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, as a member is a Clarion call to serve Nigerians.
Reacting to the appointment Prof Dari, gave a deep-rooted thanks to the President Bola Tinubu, the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima; and the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, for finding him worthy of the noble job.
Prof Dari said he would serve Nigerians to the best of his ability and deploy his wealth of experience and knowledge to make sure that the country’s education system regains its lost glory.
He reiterated his willingness to team up with the Chairman of the board, the Vice Chancellor and other stakeholderu of ABU to support the Education Minister, Professor Mamman Tahir, who they all gained the privilege of serving the country under the able leadership of President Tinubu.
The ex-deputy speaker said Tinubu is a thoughtful thinker and critical leader who is passionate about rescuing the country from further going down in the area of education and in all sectors.
While thanking Tinubu and Uba Sani for considering him worthy and his service to the nation timely, Prof Dari promised never to disappoint them as he held them in high esteem, and the country’s education system is truly in dire need of urgent attention.
He further called on ABU’s critical stakeholders and alumni to rally round the administrators to ensure  the premier University bounces back to its rating of producing the best graduates in many fields of endeavors.
“I will give my best, to do my duty with uttermost fear of God in the Interest of the nation and humanity in rescuing our dear country’s system of Education which is in dire need of attention.
“Thank you Mr President for finding me worthy, thank you Governor Uba Sani for believing in me and my ability to contribute my quarter in this administration and in this regard,” Prof Dari said.
