KADUNA, North-West, Nigeria – The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Kaduna State, has expressed great satisfaction with progress of the ongoing construction of the Tudun-Biri Central Mosque in Igabi Local Government Area of the state.
The Chief Imam of Udawa Central Mosque and Murshid of JNI Kaduna State, Imam Hussaini Iliyasu, shared his thoughts with newsmen in Kaduna on Sunday, following a visit to the construction site.
“We are delighted to see the mosque nearing completion,” he stated, while extending gratitude to everyone who contributed to this development, including the State Government.
Imam Iliyasu highlighted the rapid progress of the project and expressed appreciation to the sponsor who funded the mosque from start to finish; noting that the mosque will be the largest in the area, capable of accommodating a large number of worshippers for daily and Friday prayers.
The Tudun-biri community is inhabited predominantly by rural farmers, with diverse tribes such as Hausa, Fulani, and Gyagyi, who have coexisted peacefully for many years.
Imam Iliyasu tasked the villagers on proper maintenance of the mosque, and also use it to foster peace and unity with other faith-based organizations in the area; while assuring the community that JNI leaders would be present at the inauguration of the new mosque.
Imam Iliyasu who thanked the Kaduna State Government for infrastructural developments, including road construction and the establishment of a skill acquisition center in the area, he however want the government to ensure adequate security for residents of the area.
He also thanked all Journalists in the state for their total support and their service to humanity, while not forgetting the group, Network of Peace Journalists (NPJ) in the state.
Recall that few months ago, a tragic incident occurred when a military drone killed over 100 Muslims celebrating the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW).
