YOLA, North-East, Nigeria – Over 6,000 people in Fufore, Song Local Government Areas of Adamawa State are expected to benefits from the ongoing free eye treatment for people suffering from glaucoma, and other eyes-related sicknesses in the state.
The free health care medical services is being carried out by the Wakili Boya Foundation, founded by Member, representing Fufore, Song Federal Constituency in the Lower chamber, Hon Aliyu Wakili Boya, who vowed to take free healthcare delivery services to his people.
The Foundation is calling on people suffering from diverse eye sicknesses to visit Fufore General Hospital to see a team of Opticians, Doctors from Abuja, Lagos, who are in Adamawa for the same purpose.
The free healthcare exercise which is currently getting attention with over 6,000 people expected to be treated across the two LGAs in the central senatorial district of the state is being throng by patients in their numbers.
The exercise commenced on January 13, 2024 and patients in Song LGA are expected to visit the general hospital for their eye examination and treatment.
The lawmaker however warned that anyone going about collecting money for the same purpose will face the wrath of the law because the exercise is free to all eye patients.
He reiterated that under his watch and representation, his constituency would feel the breeze of good leadership and enjoy the dividends of democracy.
