2023 Population Census: NPC solicits NSCDC support

KADUNA, North-West, Nigeria – The National Population Commission, (NPC) has solicited the support of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) in the forthcoming 2023 National Population census in Kaduna State.
The Federal Commissioner, NPC, Dr. Abdulmalik Durunguwa, made the appeal during a courtesy visit to the Commandant, NSCDC, Kaduna Command, Idris  Ada.

According to him, he was in the NSCDC office to solicit for the support of the Command in ensuring the success of the  2023 population census.Dr. Durunguwa pointed out that the 2023 population census would not be successful without the assistance of security operatives.

He further added that with the successful census in place, there would be rapid development of the country.

“As a federal organisations, we owed ourselves a duty to familiarize ourselves, so that we can be able to work together to make Nigeria proud,” he said.

He thanked the Commandant for the support NPC has been receiving in it service delivery.

Responding, Adah, said part of the NSCDC mandate is the protection of lives and property, protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, adding it is mandated to also support, protect NPC when the need arises.
