KADUNA, North-West, Nigeria – The NGO, Samecare Indigent Foundation, (SIF), on Friday donated disinfectants to General Hospital Sabon Tasha in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
Handing over the supply to the Matron In-Charge of the hospital, Founder of SIF, Pastor (Dr.) Christian Onwudinjo, said it was out of love for humanity that his group decided to donate to the Hospital; and promised to identify more areas that the Hospital needed assistance to improve the environment and well-being of the patients.
“We are here in the Hospital because we have the heart to give out to the public, especially hospitals and the indigents. Some people have, but they don’t have the heart of giving.
“We appreciate the good work you are doing in the Hospital. We pray to the Lord to prosper you for the good work you are doing,” he said.
According to him, “nobody is specially called to the ministry of empathy nor born with the gift of care for the poor. Comfort is God’s specialty; our duty is to show genuine personal assistance, deep involvement and infinite understanding of the situation with love unfeigned, partner together and make this world a better place for all.
“SIF is an organization established as an instrument of succour and comfort to the indigents,” he added.
He explained that the Foundation which commenced operation in November 2018 was incorporated to show concern for the poor and source means of livelihood for Indigent prisoners, the sick in hospitals, unemployed, many frustrated retired old people without pension, the widows, fatherless and vulnerable persons in the society and others that are adversely affected by the biting economy and unemployment.
The SIF boss urged governments to partner with other social organizations and NGOs to help alleviate poverty in the country.
Responding, Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Emmanuel Gajere, who was represented by the Matron In-Charge, Regina Gimba, expressed delight and thanked Pastor Onwudinjo and his team for chosing the Hospital as a beneficiary of its programme and prayed God to bless the group.
He said such kind gesture showed the needy in the society is one of the most important things in life; and called on good spirited individuals, other social organizations, NGOs to follow suit.
