MAIDUGURI, North-East, Nigeria – In continuation of his tour of southern Borno, Governor Babagana Zulum, on Tuesday commissioned a Government Technical College and a Primary Healthcare Centre, (PHC) in Mbalala village of Chibok Local Government Area.
During the tour, the Governor assessed ongoing construction of 500 low cost houses in Damboa for resettlement of displaced families by Boko Haram; including Government Technical College where the state government has completed construction of 20 classrooms.
He also visited the Police Divisional Headquarters and police personnel quarters, recently rehabilitated by the state government; and as well inspected the ongoing construction of Damboa – Chibok road.
The state Commissioner for Works, Arch. Yerima Saleh, had earlier updated the governor that the project was at 75 per cent completion stage.
Zulum is being accompanied in the ongoing tour by the Senator representing Southern Borno, Muhammad Ali Ndume; state chairman of APC, Ali Bukar Dalori; and members of House of Representatives, Usman Jaha and Dr Haruna Mshelia; whose constituencies are being visited, as well as other top government officials from the zone.
