Borno Govt. To Construct Hospital, Shopping Complex, Others In Mafa LG Council

MAIDUGURI, North-East, Nigeria – Borno State Government has commenced construction of a new hospital, shoppig complex and portable water facilities in Ajiri community resettled last month in Mafa Local Government Area of the state.
Governor Babagana Zulum, gave the directives during a one-day working visit to Dikwa and Mafa LGAs on Thursday, September 4, 2020.
Over 500 households have returned to Ajiri community on August 15, 2020, with each given a low-cost 2 bedroom flat and N50,000 emergency relief fund.
Zulum’s visit was to assessed farmlands established for returning farming communities for restoration of livelihoods, build public confidence and community resilience.
“I am happy to see you people living comfortably after your relocation from IDPs Camps to your ancestral homes.
“As Government we will do everything possible to support you. We are going to provide Ajiri community with a befitting school, hospital and market stalls among other social infrastructures.
“I am appealing to all of you to continue to pray for the restoration of peace; and also cooperate with security agencies in the fight against terrorism,” he admonished.
The Borno helmsman defied the heavy down pour to continue his journey to Dikwa LG for inspection hectares of farmlands for irrigation and Fadama (Firgi) farming.
