KADUNA, North-West, Nigeria – The Nigerian Breweries Plc has donated palliative items to the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Kaduna State Council to cushion the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Corporate Affairs Manager, North, Mr. Danjuma John Ekele, while delivering the gifts on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, said due to Covid-19 pandemic with its attendant harsh global realities, NB plc realized it is the time to identify with friends in the media who might be negatively impacted by the virus.
He also said it is a way of saying thank you to the media for the partnership, support and coverage of all NB Plc initiatives across the country.
According to him, the media has always been there for his organization, hence the token is a way of saying, “thank you” particularly as Sallah festival is around the corner.
“As the world adjusts to harsh global realities brought about by Covid-19, we realize that more than ever, this is the time for us to be there for our friends in the media who may have been negatively impacted by the virus,” he said.
