KADUNA, North-West, Nigeria – A group under the auspice of, Interaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, (IDFP), has sensitized residents of Sabon Tasha in Chikun Local Government Area on safety measures to check the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking during the exercise on Monday, July 13, 2020, National Publicity Secretary of the Forum, Imam Muh’d Isah, urged residents to always abide by guidelines as given by authorities concerned.
Imam Isah who said the Coronavirus is real, appealed to religious leaders to always apply safety measures in their various places of worship, saying that worshippers are learning from them.
The group who distributed personal protective equipments like face masks, among others also called on religious leaders to support government by sensitizing members on coronavirus pandemic.
Also, a member of the group’s Sensitization Committee, Reverend Sunday Ibrahim, called on other Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to also support government in sensitizing people on Covid-19.
Rev. Ibrahim also called on the State and Federal Governments to provide enough protective materials for frontline workers in other to boost their morals.
A beneficiary, Nathaniel Ogiri, appreciated the efforts of IDFP and urged the group to extend it exercise to the hinter lands.
