SWAN Commiserates With Kaduna FA Over Death Of Former Board Member

KADUNA, North-West, Nigeria – Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria, (SWAN), Kaduna State Chapter, has commiserated with the Kaduna State Football Association over the death of it former Board member.

The Association received with deep shock the death of Alhaji Danliti Zaria, who passed away on June 1, 2020 after a brief illness.

In the condolence message signed by the Association’s Chairman, Comrade Jacob Zango and the Secretary, Comrade Abdulwaheed Olayinka Adubi respectively, described the deceased as a ‘Football Icon’ who before his death contributed tremendously to the development of the game.

While sympathizing with the State FA and the entire football family, Kaduna SWAN prayed God Almighty to give the deceased family the strength to bear the loss.

“We pray that may Allah (SWT) in His infinite Mercies grant him aljannah firdausi.”

Information available to Kaduna SWAN is that late Danliti Zaria was a Match Commissioner, a retired Referee, and until his death, was a Referee assessor of the Nigeria Premiere League (NPL).
