KADUNA, North-West, Nigeria – A group under the auspice of Christian-Muslim Peace, Unity and Development Initiative Nigeria, (CM-PIN), congratulates Muslim community in Nigeria and the world over for a successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
In a Sallah message signed by its Executive Director, Diji Obadiah Haruna, made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Sunday, the group called for sober reflection and change of attitudes by all irrespective of their faith.
According to the statement, CM-PIN as an organization working towards peace and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria, urged Nigerians to celebrate the day cheerfully even with the Covid-19 lockdown.
The statement further reads; “This time calls for sober reflection to all and change of attitudes toward one another no matter the faith you belong as we all believe that the religion we all practice in Nigeria is for and tolerance toward each other.
“We as a body we encourage all Nigerians to inculcate the culture of self distance during this pandemic (covid-19) and it is our believe that the prayers of the faithful during Ramadan will heal our land from the COVID 19.
“We urged all to pray for our government even they did not meet our expectations, but is our duty to pray for them and the peace of our nation and indeed the world at large.”
