MAIDUGURI, North-East, Nigeria – Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, has launched the first day of Year 2020 with the commissioning of five projects commenced six months ago in Hawul Local Government Area of the state.
He also carry out inspection of other ongoing projects in the LGA in the New Year.
Zulum who previously spent three days in Gwoza LGA commissioning projects and distributions of food items and cash gifts to displaced persons proceeded to Hawul LGA in New Year day.
He commissioned a 100-Bed capacity General Hospital in Azare town, a 40-bed capacity Primary Healthcare Centre, (PHC), in Kwajjafa town and a Skills Acquisition Centre in Marama town in Hawul.
The centre initiated by community efforts before the Zulum administration took over during his visit in June 2019.
The Borno helmsman at about 6pm commissioned a primary school and a PHC in Kwayabura.
He then went on to inspect an ongoing construction works at a Central Primary School and palace of the District Head in kwajjafa.
He was also in Sakwa town where he inspected another ongoing reconstruction of a Government Secondary School.
