Pastor Appeals To Muslim Org, Individuals To Provide Mosque For People With Disability

KADUNA, North-West, Nigeria – A Kaduna based Clergy, Pastor Yohanna Buru has appealed to Muslim organizations, and wealthy individuals in the society to assist the Centre For Muslims With Disability in Nigeria, (CMDN), in building a mosque at the Kaduna State Rehabilitation Centre, Kakuri, Kaduna South Local Government Area with a view to giving them a sense of belongings.

Buru made the appealed when he received in his residence the Exco members of CMDN and other associations of people with disability on advocacy visit.

According to him, in view of the peculiarity of people living with disability, people should assist them realized their goal of having a mosque to enable them perform the daily 5 times prayers.

“People living with disability don’t have the means to build a mosque, all they need is support from every one irrespective of religion or tribe, because the house of God is for everyone.

“God listens to their prayers, and that is why I am appealing to all Muslim organizations, and wealthy individuals for assistance either in cash or kind for the project.

Buru who is also the President/Founder of Peace Revival and Reconciliation Foundation of Nigeria expressed appreciation for the visit; noting that such visit by the association will help strengthen peace and unity, and as well boost interfaith activities in the state.

He assured CMDN of his continuous commitments to the struggle for emancipation of the down trodden in the society.

Earlier, the Executive Director of CMDN, Comrade Rilwanu Abdullahi thanked Pastor Buru for his intention to support the Centre realized its goal for a mosque for Muslims destitute at the school premises.

He equally commended the Clergy for his humanitarian services to Nigerians; adding that the mosque project is beyond CMDN capability, hence, the call for external supports from both Muslims and Christians.
