Adamawa Journalist Alleges Threat To Life By Gov Fintiri’s Associate

YOLA, North-East, Nigeria – An Adamawa based Online Publisher of Tgnews.com, Mr. Tom Garba has alleged threats to life by Mr Steven Maduwa, an associate  to the State Governor, Umaru Fintiri.
Governor Fintiri’s friend, Maduwa was allegedly heard threatening the Journalist in an audio recording as saying; “Good or bad if you dare write something on Fintiri I will kill you.”
It was gathered that Mr Maduwa issued the threat following a publication by Garba on June 9, 2019 where a stakeholder, one Mr Steven Adamu called for a balanced appointments between the two, major religions in the state.
The close associate of the Governor promised to unleashed unpleasant life by giving the Publisher death threats if he dare writes something either good or bad about the Governor.
In the recorded phone conversation, Maduwa  who spoke interchangeably in both English and Hausa vowed; “Zan Yanka ka” meaning to slaughter the Journalist if he report stories on the Governor either good or bad.
Speaking in the audio Maduwa said; “Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna has a Muslim Muslim ticket what did you ever write? “
