KADUNA, North-West, Nigeria – A Kaduna based private school proprietor, Mr. Busayo Akintunde has called on delegates to the 2019 National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, (NAPPS), national conference in Imo State to brain storm and chart a way forward for development of educational sector in Nigeria.
Mr. Akintunde who is the Director of Destiny College, Malali, Kaduna urged delegates to use the opportunity and ensure that new ideas are injected into the sector.
Akintunde who is also the Secretary, NAPPS Kaduna Main Division, said private schools have become a force to reckon with in the country, therefore delegates are duty bound to ensure that they come up with a white paper that will ensure this feat is sustained.
He advised that deliberations and paper presented at the conference should focus on modern teaching methods to improve the standard of education, saying Nigeria can not be left behind in the digital world.
While stressing that education is the bedrock of development in any society, Mr. Akintunde added that there is need for government and individuals to concentrate on the sector.
The Secretary of NAPPS Kaduna Main Division, also advised well meaning Nigerians to invest in the sector because doing that means building a future for youth in the country.
