Governorship, S’Assembly Polls: PVC Is Only Visa For Movement – Kaduna CP

KADUNA, North-West, Nigeria – The Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Command, CP Ahmed Abdurrahman has warned that anyone found wandering about without a Permanent Voter Card, (PVCs) during the Gubernatorial, State Assembly polls on Saturday March 9 will be apprehended.
He gave the warning at a press briefing organised by the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), Kaduna State ahead of the polls.
“What is expected of a voter is that he must carry his PVC it is the visa. When we find someone without PVC, we will pick him and keep him in safe place till after the election.
“Only those on essential services like Journalists, Health workers, Fire Fighter and Policemen are allowed to move around. Even policemen without the election 2019 tag if seen will be held.
“If we see some uniformed personnel moving around because their relative is contesting, would also be arrested,” he stressed.
