KADUNA, North-West, Nigeria – Senator representing Kaduna Central at the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has condemned the outcome of the just concluded Presidential and N’Assembly elections in Kaduna state.

He said the elections were full of irregularities like over voting, harassment, intimidation amongst several manipulations.

The senator, who addressed newsmen in his Kaduna residence on Monday called for the cancellation of the results, adding that the elections were characterised with votes buying.

“I can not show a sportsmanship in an election that is highly manipulated and characterised by fraud. I can only be a sportsman in a situation where an election was conducted fairly, free and credible”, he said.

Senator Sani who contested on the platform of Peoples Redemption Party, (PRP), said: “in some places, election did not start until 8:00pm”.

While calling for the cancellation of the Polls, he lamented the use of fake INEC ad-hoc staff in Giwa Local Government Area, adding that there was outright falsification of elections results in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state.

The Senator alleged over voting, intimidation, votes buying, late arrival of election materials, falsification of results.

“The fillers we received and with the evidence at our disposal shows that the elections were fraud”, he lamented.

Sani said that he had written a complaint letter to the electoral Umpire on how the elections were rigged.
