No Politician Is Worth Fighting For – Popular Radio Presenter

KADUNA, North-West, Nigeria – A Kaduna based popular radio presenter cum Founder Safety Ambassador, Mr. Philip Omachi, has cautioned youth against being used by politicians to cause mayhem in the state, saying no politician is worth fighting for, rather they should maintain peace in their various communities during and after the forthcoming general elections.
He gave the advice at the occasion of his birthday celebration with couples in Kaduna tagged; “Saint Valentine’s Couples Date Night,” to revive marriages and relationships.
Speaking on safety during and after the 2019 polls, the Safety Ambassador said that youth should not only be up and doing, but desist from engaging in fights for the sake of politicians.
According to him, after using the youth to attain their selfish interests politicians usually dumped them against the next four years.
Omachi, popularly known as “Oga Driver” also cautioned the youth against reckless driving particularly if one of their own is declared a winner, so as to remain alive to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

On why he decided to mark his birthday with couples on Saint Valentine’s Day, Omachi said he does not party on his birthday which coincidentally falls on February 14, rather over the years he has visited orphanages, less privileged people’s homes and widows to mark it. He stated that each year he asks God to guide him on where next to celebrate and this year he was guided to mark it with couples.
He said investigation reveals that nowadays most people are falling out of marriages. “You can find a union of two weeks or one year breaking up and some of these are caused by little issues that could have been avoided or resolved amicably by both parties, rather it is allowed to fester thereby allowing the devil opportunity to come between them.
“So this year I decided to organize Saint Valentine’s Couples Date Night to bring couples together to discuss issues bordering on how to show love and sustain their marriages.
“It is not going to end today, rather it will be a yearly event as we bring couples together and make sure broken homes are mended,” he vowed.
The Safety Ambassador advised singles not to even conceive the idea that because their peers were married to jump into the marriage institution as none goes into marriage for training, pointing out that it is either you are ready or not.

“First, you have to be matured at heart and be ready to absolve everything no matter what your spouse has done. If you want to hold your union make sure you respect each other’s feelings bearing in mind that you both come from different backgrounds.”
Similarly, the oldest couple of the night and President, Save Motherhood Foundation, Reverend and Mrs. Joe Adejoh, married for over 37 years gave a piece of advise for couples, to fan their love flames.
The couple disclosed that the secret of their marriage is anchored upon knowing God. They added that knowing God is crucial to a successful marriage because without God there is no love, as God is Love.
Highlight of the event includes, music, talkshow and awards presentation to oldest couple, best dressed couple among others.
