…Says Presidency Is For Decent, Upright Ones

JIGAWA, North-West, Nigeria – Governor Muhammadu Badaru of Jigawa State over the weekend took a swipe on the presidential ambition of his predecessor, Sule Lamido who he said lacked the capacity to rule the country; saying Nigeria’s presidency is for the decent and upright ones.

He made the assertion during the distribution of vehicles, empowerment materials and cash donations to citizens of the state by the Senator representing Jigawa Central, Alhaji Sabo Nakudu at the Aminu Kano Triangle in Dutse.

Governor Badaru accused Lamido of leaving behind debts for his administration, but with the support of Allah he was able to settled them and even cleared civil servants benefits also.

“That person was the one who left us so much debts so that we would fail in our administration but today, with the support of Allah we were not only able to settled those debts, both honest and false ones but also able to pay workers’ benefits that were never paid to them by the former administration.

“It is that same person that built a mansion worth over a billion Naira after his administration at his country home who is also shamelessly attempting to contest for the presidency of this country,” he stated.

In his own remarks, Senator Sabo Nakudu said he is only fulfilling part of his obligations to his people and the electorate.

He assured that come 2019 Jigawa state will not change the incumbent governor, rather will return him to the Government House.

Nakudu who challenged politicians nursing gubernatorial ambition in the state, said he will march them money for money.

“I dare ‎anyone of them that think he is rich to come out and try to dislodge Governor Badaru, I alone will march anyone that thinks is wealthy,” he boasted.
