More Talents Discovered At 3rd Edition Of OSOM – Dr. Are

KADUNA, North-West, Nigeria – The Director Grassroots Sports Development, Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Dr. Ademola Are, has said that several talents has been discovered at the just concluded 3rd edition of the One Service One Medal, (OSOM) Games in Kaduna.
He stated this while fielding questions from newsmen on the sideline of the Games closing ceremony on Tuesday, December 4, 2018.
Reacting to the mood at the main bowl of the stadium, where spectators and team contingents where seen excited by the spectacular closing ceremony, which featured several displays from various departments of the Nigerian Police Force.

“Yes, the athletes and all the officials cannot help it but to be excited about what they have witnessed for the last three days. They are also thrilled by ongoing the closing ceremony. Not only them, but even the officials and myself, are all excited,” he said.
Dr. Are expressed optimism that the next edition of the annual Games will turn out to be even more spectacular; and praised the participating security and para military agencies for exhibiting high level of discipline and sportsmanship all through the Games.
When asked to comment on the recent victory of the Super Falcons who claimed a record eight Africa Women Cup of Nations, (AWCON) title, he praised the girls for making Nigeria proud.
“Their victory shows that our policy thrust on sports development is yielding results. I would like to commend the Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF) for stepping up their game and motivating the girls,” he added.
